Tom Jarvis
Senior OSINT analyst at Centre for Information Resilience
Tom Jarvis is a senior OSINT analyst for the Centre for Information Resilience. With a background in biology and journalism he enjoys working on data-heavy technical topics. He specialises in geospatial and social media investigation and has led investigations on topics in Ukraine, Russia, Myanmar, China, and more.
He made his first big dent in the world of OSINT running the Tibet Research Project, a crowdsourced geospatial analysis effort to detect and monitor the use of detention in Tibet and the surrounding human rights situation. Since then he has produced reports on the human rights situation in Myanmar and worked closely with the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Tom’s workflow comprises endless hours looking at satellite imagery and deep online investigations, and he enjoys using Python to create “hacky workarounds” for optimising collection and analysis.
