Mariam Torosyan is an Innovation Leader and a recognised advocate for Women’s Rights. An Impact Entrepreneur with a multidisciplinary background in Human Rights Law, Social Anthropology and Public Health.
She is a European champion of Cartier Women's Initiative, European Young Innovator WSA and a Young Transatlantic Innovation Leader.
In 2020, she established Safe YOU with the purpose of combating Gender-Based Violence. This initiative involves a life-saving mobile application and an AI-driven platform. This technological solution has gained recognition as a Digital Public Good due to its capacity to address a critical societal issue. During her journey, she addressed GBV issues and innovation's potential at key UN events, while also engaging in programs like Google for Startups SDG, UNDP Boost for Women Innovators, UNFPA Innovation Challenge, and UNWTO Awake challenge.
